The 18th 麻豆传媒 Young Scientist Forum hosted by DISCOVER Lab was successfully held in the afternoon of 28th December. We were honoured to invite Dr. LIAO Yiyi, Distinguished Research Fellow of Zhejiang University, to give an online presentation entitled "Mixed Reality Image Generation for Autonomous Driving Simulation Platforms". Dr. Liao introduced a series of works to build the ultimate goal of the autonomous driving simulation platform, pointing out three valuable directions for the future exploration of the autonomous driving simulation platform: city-level free viewpoint rendering, fusion of virtual and real images, and simulator-based training to test models for downstream tasks of autonomous driving. After the presentation, Dr. Liao had conversations with the participating teachers and students in the areas covered in the presentation.
